In today’s world, shaped by technology and the fast pace of city life, we often look for moments of peace and connection with nature. This is especially important in medical places like hospitals or health centers, where the wellbeing of patients, visitors, and staff is a top priority.
Studies have shown that looking at images of nature has a calming effect on the mind. It can help reduce stress and anxiety, stimulate the imagination, and allow people to picture themselves in beautiful natural environments, lifting their mood and improving their overall wellbeing.
For this reason, pictures from the series "Echoes of Light" were installed in the corridors and waiting areas of the Neonatology Department at St. Josef Hospital in Vienna. These abstract nature photographs, which play with reflections, shadows, and light, add aesthetic quality to the spaces and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
