Do you remember?

This personal photographic project explores family histories and hidden secrets passed down through generations. At its core there are 11 suitcases that once belonged to the artist’s grandparents and had long been forgotten. One by one, they were opened to uncover buried memories, long-lost stories, and silent secrets.
The objects found inside, photographs, items of clothing, newspaper clippings, postcards, documents, and seemingly insignificant keepsakes, serve as witnesses to the past. They tell fragmented stories of the lives of the grandparents and their five children, revealing traces of the everyday as well as what remained unspoken.
The photographs function as a visual archive of these objects, preserving what endures while reflecting on how memory materializes through things. The suitcases become containers of collective and personal history, partial, fragile, and incomplete, but deeply intertwined with the family’s identity.
